Busy is not the word! Last week we moved house & opened a pop up shop in Manchester.

The shop looks fab and we’re very happy to be in the City Centre.

Alongside the oh so fabulous Hey Little Cupcake, Glamourised, Sno Queens and the Oast House. We’re practically neighbours with all the powsh shops on The Avenue. How fabulous. The Avenue looks really fab at night and we’ll post some snaps soon.

We’ve put everything into opening the shop at what is a really busy time and we really hope that it’s going to be a success for us.

We have some very exciting news and the studio is literally buzzing with the news and the preparation that is involved.

We are¬†extremely pleased to announce that¬†Made With Love¬†will be opening a¬†Christmas Pop Up Shop on The lurrverly Avenue at Spinningfields, Manchester next week. Alongside fab shops including Flannels, Oliver Sweeny, Mulberry, All Saints & Donna Karen and of course the amazing Christmas Ice Rink – we’re going to feel right at home there.¬†Our cute cabin selling our handmade Christmas cards & greetings cards as well as a few of our best selling furniture pieces.

Our shop will open on Thursday 24th November 2011 at 10am until 6pm Monday to Friday and will be open at weekends too.

It’s the first time we’ve opened a pop up shop before so we are very excited, nervous too as we don’t know what to expect but really looking forward to the exciting venture.

As it’s a pop up shop, we will only be¬†there until 22nd December 2011 so will be in the city for a limited time only.

We are in the middle of finishing the art work for the outside of the shop and are currently planning the design & layout which we’ll blog about soon.

Come visit us there, we’d love to meet you! xox

Out with the old in with new, I’ve been to the tip more times than is normal for a 28 year old. We’ve been decluttering¬†for the last few weeks getting ready to move and it feels oh so good to just let go of the old bike pump and the old batteries & the Christmas cracker screw drivers. It felt¬†liberating to chuck the sandwich bag ties & the¬†mini sewing kit that we have never used. It was really hard though when it came to throwing out the¬†loose keys that we have taken around in¬†said drawer for the last 5 years ‘just in¬†case’. The keys didn’t escape the second round of the cull and they too have gone! Why do we collect so much junk? I feel guilty¬†about throwing some stuff as I really¬†do hate waste, so Ebayed some¬†stuff & made ¬£200! Which I spent in 2 minutes shopping online. We have saved for a while to buy some lovely new things for when we move so I mustn’t feel too guilty buying all this stuff.

Here’s what I bought so far for our new home:

Giant Curve Floor Lamp £179 from Dwell here

Tipolo Square Swivel Coffee Table £249 from Dwell here

Children’s High Sleeper from Steens¬†for Lilly’s new bedroom

Acrylic Bathroom Set by Gedy in Hot Pink

Joseph & Joseph Cooking utensils because quite simply they are gorgeous & our some melted, some with no handles existing ones will simply not do in a gloss white kitchen. No I’m afraid not!

More to follow next week. Yes there is more…a whole lost more! YEEEEEEEY!

Happy Weekend x

We’re very busy packing,¬†de-cluttering, buying new¬†and organising stuff ready¬†to move house at the end of November. Why & how we’ve accumulated the stuff I’ve found in our kitchen ‘man’ drawer I’ll never know. We’re moving to¬†our very own rainbow house¬†in a new development by Urban Splash

Ours is the red¬†apartment split over 2 floors.¬†We’ll have¬†open plan living with a balcony to the main living area and Lilly’s bedroom on the lower floor with her own bathroom & balcony.

We are a family that live our lives by colour. Lilly is intrigued by colour and her Mummy & Daddy work with colour every day so it seems so right for us to live in a bizarre rainbow Tetris house. When we viewed this place a while back even when it was a building site, we felt right at home.

The apartment lets in lots of natural light with its floor to ceiling windows. We love light. We love watching the seasons change out of huge windows.

We’re going to miss our own garden but the apartments are on the river bank with landscaped gardens which we’ll spend many a lazy sunny evening picnicking & playing.

Surely this has to be the best rainbow house ever though?
