Add sparkle to evening reception with these enchanted bird cages

I wanted to show you a sneaky peak of something we’ve been working on this week for a client that is so unbelievably cute, warming and lovely that we shot it during the day & at night to capture its glow.

Wedding bird cage decorated with lilac roses & trailing ivy

New to the website are these pretty bird cages which are perfect for wedding receptions as a safe place for guests to post wedding cards / little gifts and the like instead of a wedding card box.

Wedding bird cages are going to be huge for 2010 and are set to stay for 2011/2012 weddings as the hottest accessory for wedding receptions. They are perfect to buy as a single item to put on a table at the evening reception or a table at the entrance to the wedding breakfast or even as table centre pieces for wedding tables (especially when filled with fairy lights as our Enchanted Option to add twinkles to wedding tables).

There are 5 bird cages to choose from in different styles including plain bird cage; trailing ivy bird cage; rose garden bird cage – have any coloured flower to suit your wedding colours; butterfly bird cage & enchanted fairy lights bird cage (more images follow).

The website is currently being updated with all available images of the styled bird cages. Until then, they can still be ordered from the website but not all images are available yet. We will post them as soon as the page is ready.

Come on England World cup card

Come on England World cup card

We wouldn’t describe ourselves as massive football fans here at Made With Love, I follow Manchester City and Clare is an Oldham Athletic fan, she can sing some of the terrace chants if the need arises. Even with our limited football knowledge we can’t fail to get excited by one thing……The World Cup. It’s impossible not to be swept along in all of the build up and I must confess, I can’t wait.

It’s always a great feeling when the sun is shining, people are drinking merrily in the sun and cheering as one when England score. We’re going to be in London for the Englands first game and so being in our nations capital for the countries opening game is filling us with a bit of national pride, so much so we’ve designed a special Come on England card. We’ve kept it simple and focused on the St Georges Flag, based on our hugely popular Union Jack cards in the God Save the Queen collection from our greetings card range. This card will be available as a limited edition greeting card and also as part of our Father’s day card collection exclusively for this World Cup only

Some lovely news this week here at made with love. We’re used to dealing with wedding stationery and anniversary cards, so imagine our excitement when we received an order through for a personalised bedazzled card with the wording “Marry me” on the front – A marriage proposal in a card!

James's proposal card to Laura

pop the question with a unique personalised proposal card

We’re incurable romantics here at made with love and so we had to contact James (who ordered the card) for his story. James met Laura a year ago when he started working in the office where she worked. It was all a bit of a whirlwind and before long they had moved in together and things were going swimmingly.

James is planning on taking Laura out for a meal and when they return the room will be decorated with candles and fairy lights, taking centre stage will be a ring and a made with love bedazzled card asking Laura to marry him.

The following day James is whisking Laura on holiday for her birthday, could this story get any more romantic…..we hope so. We’ll update you all as soon as we know the outcome.

We’ve been gorging on sweeties in the Made With Love office this week. We’ve had 2 orders on the go using real sweets so there was an excuse for pots of sweeties everywhere. Having just finished on a sweetie wedding table names for our lovely client Charlotte (who got in touch with us 6 weeks ago to see whether we could help with her wedding in 6 weeks time… she’s managed to organise her whole wedding in just 6 weeks – it’s been madness but she’s done it & is getting wed this Sunday 22nd November 2009)
This is the finished result. Charlotte had originally ordered her stationery from the ‘Moderno’ Collection in a fuchsia pink colour scheme. When she told us that her table names were based on sweets we just couldn’t resist having a play around with the design. Such fun to be had… our creative juices were literally flowing. Upon design of her proofs we had a little bit of fun with the sweeteis version above just to see what she thought. Charlotte loved them and these little pretties will be sitting on her tables this Sunday.

And our gorgeous new lollipop birthday party invitations £3.50 have just been photographed and are very sweet indeed. I wanted to photograph these with grass and daisies but since we’ve been having such appalling weather will have to put this on hold until the summer. Our Lollipop invites are exclusive to notonthehighstreet.com Click to buy here

This is Adrian & Sean’s Guest Book. A custom colour scheme to suit their wedding colours personalised from the ‘Dazzle’ Collection. I had designed their wedding stationery earlier in the year in this fabulous colour scheme & they had later returned to order a guest book. I love designing guest books and they always look so spectacular once they are finished. I received an email the other week from Adrian (which scared me for the first 5 lines but then brought a huge smile to my face) saying: Ahhh isn’t that lovely!

Adrian & Sean are getting wed on the 7th November 2009 (sorry there’s a typo in the above) & will be using their guest book during the reception to treasure their memories forever. Just lovely.

We will be thinking of you this weekend. Have the most amazing day!

We have been asked by a client to develop a simple invitation for their ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’ wedding theme. What a fabulous wedding theme to have. I was so excited about the possibilities that I couldn’t sleep the night before the design!

We have taken the Tiffany blue Colour scheme (which is actually more of an aqua shade) with a stylish black pop art effect image of the leading lady Audrey Hepburn. The design looks timeless in the flesh.

I can’t tell you how good this design looks. It’s simply stunning & would work perfectly for a movie star wedding theme (with different movie stars); A Breakfast At Tiffany’s wedding theme; Hollywood Wedding theme.

If you like this collection please get in touch as it is completely bespoke and so not available on our website.
You could have any colour ribbon which would work well against the monochrome backdrop.
Other items in the collection include:
Breakfast At Tiffany’s Wedding Invitations from £2.50
Breakfast at Tiffany’s Table Plan
Breakfast at Tiffany’s Wedding Place Cards
Breakfast at Tiffany’s Thank You Cards
Breakfast at Tiffany’s Menus
Breakfast at Tiffany’s Table Names / Table Numbers
Blue Tiffany box wedding favour with white ribbon
(which I will get around to posting about soon)
