Out with the old in with new, I’ve been to the tip more times than is normal for a 28 year old. We’ve been decluttering for the last few weeks getting ready to move and it feels oh so good to just let go of the old bike pump and the old batteries & the Christmas cracker screw drivers. It felt liberating to chuck the sandwich bag ties & the mini sewing kit that we have never used. It was really hard though when it came to throwing out the loose keys that we have taken around in said drawer for the last 5 years ‘just in case’. The keys didn’t escape the second round of the cull and they too have gone! Why do we collect so much junk? I feel guilty about throwing some stuff as I really do hate waste, so Ebayed some stuff & made £200! Which I spent in 2 minutes shopping online. We have saved for a while to buy some lovely new things for when we move so I mustn’t feel too guilty buying all this stuff.

Here’s what I bought so far for our new home:

Giant Curve Floor Lamp £179 from Dwell here

Tipolo Square Swivel Coffee Table £249 from Dwell here

Children’s High Sleeper from Steens for Lilly’s new bedroom

Acrylic Bathroom Set by Gedy in Hot Pink

Joseph & Joseph Cooking utensils because quite simply they are gorgeous & our some melted, some with no handles existing ones will simply not do in a gloss white kitchen. No I’m afraid not!

More to follow next week. Yes there is more…a whole lost more! YEEEEEEEY!

Happy Weekend x

Things are always so much prettier when it’s sunny. When it’s rainy & dull, going into the old mill (where our studio is based) can very gloomy. It’s not the prettiest of spaces when it’s gloomy and we feel a spruce up is needed.

Our studio room itself is lovely and colourful. But the corridor on our floor needs a little help. It’s a long corridor and the entrance to our studio.

We’re thinking lot’s of grass to brighten the space: real grass window decals & artificial grass trims on window ledges; bright & zesty silk flower gerbera blooms & sunflowers, pretty butterfly window stickers, set off by cute picket fences painted white; few potted tree’s & plants…

I’ll post the finished results in the next couple of weeks. Tis going to be too cute!

Add sparkle to evening reception with these enchanted bird cages

I wanted to show you a sneaky peak of something we’ve been working on this week for a client that is so unbelievably cute, warming and lovely that we shot it during the day & at night to capture its glow.

Wedding bird cage decorated with lilac roses & trailing ivy

New to the website are these pretty bird cages which are perfect for wedding receptions as a safe place for guests to post wedding cards / little gifts and the like instead of a wedding card box.

Wedding bird cages are going to be huge for 2010 and are set to stay for 2011/2012 weddings as the hottest accessory for wedding receptions. They are perfect to buy as a single item to put on a table at the evening reception or a table at the entrance to the wedding breakfast or even as table centre pieces for wedding tables (especially when filled with fairy lights as our Enchanted Option to add twinkles to wedding tables).

There are 5 bird cages to choose from in different styles including plain bird cage; trailing ivy bird cage; rose garden bird cage – have any coloured flower to suit your wedding colours; butterfly bird cage & enchanted fairy lights bird cage (more images follow).

The website is currently being updated with all available images of the styled bird cages. Until then, they can still be ordered from the website but not all images are available yet. We will post them as soon as the page is ready.
